Another stunning day up north. For lunch Bea and I sat in the park in George Square with our soup from Union (which was amazing!) and we soaked up the sunshine and chatted for hours.
I think I may have over done it this weekend. I now have a horrible horrible cold. yay. But aside from that it's been a pretty good day. We had a lovely lunch in the park with Bea, Daisy, Felix, Al and Laura. yay for friends!
Bit of a late start today. Mol and I went for a very late brunch with Izzy which was soooo delicious and sooo needed. Afterwards we wandered around the national portrait gallery before going to find Milly who had gotten unbelievably lost. Once we did find her half was down dundas street we went over to Al's for tea. Lovely lovely day.
Molly came up today! I met her off the train this afternoon and we went home and (Mol) made a fantastic supper. Lots of her Durham friends were up here too so we went over to the wally dug to watch the rugby which was pretty tense. And then it was Hugo and Ed's 21st: Vikings vs Egyptians. It was brilliant! It's set the bar so high for all future house parties. They had strobes, wall murals, DJs, everything! And it was so much fun!
Today has been fab! I saw Venetia for the first time in forever, and it was so SO lovely to see her. It was just like old times. We went for a coffee outside the national gallery and sat in the sunshine with dais, Emmanuel and Sophie. And I got some work done this afternoon too!
Last night was great. Daisy cooked THE best spaghetti bolagnaise and we all sat down for a flat supper and wiiiine. And then spontaneously we went over to Charlie and Jaspers for drinks, and then onto the three sisters. Even got a mc flurry on the way back early this morning. Am I living the dream?
Such a great day! After lectures today I went for lunch with Liv which was super nice and we got to catch up, yay. Then Mil and I went to this art exhibition she'd been wanting to see. It was a Bernat Klein retrospective and it was fantastic! The textures in the mixed media pieces where stunning and so vibrant. And on the way back we bumped into Chav which was lovely so we went back with her to see her new flat which. Is. Amazing. It's 8 people, 3 floors, and basically has a dance floor in the attic. And then back to mine for tea and biscuits with Al and Marcus too. We've been busy trying to organise getting down to Oxford next month, benedict I hope you appreciate it!
Werkin. Still. I've been busy trying to keep up with deadlines (and failing miserably), but today has been super productive, yay. And I had a lovely lunch with Al too!
Laura came over this evening, briefly before we headed over to Catch's, briefly before we went over to Mimas which was lovely. So great to see everyone! I've missed you all.
Happy birthday Mima! This evening we all went over for a 'surprise' birthday supper for Mimes; not sure how much of a surprise it turned out to be but it was so lovely and so much fun! I can't believe how long it's been since I've seen everyone! Mil and co had made a scrummy risotto and we all sat down for our first dinner party of the year. And afterwards we went over to Sams flat warming which was super fun...
But actual today we left Max's early and went back to Timmy's for breakfast before Jules drove me to the train station (merci). I honestly have never been so tired, when I got home everyone thought I was ill again because I looked so awful. But I actually somehow got some work done (and a LOT of sleep).
Fantastic day! Drove up to Bathurst park with Phil and Aggie and we met Mary and Arch and went for a walk which was loooovely, followed by a cracking pub lunch. Then back to Timmy's to get ready before Max's 21st. Around the world in 80 days, I went for the Egyptian look. It was so so great to see everyone, I've missed you!
Loooong drive back down south. We stopped at Fountains Abbey which is so up my street, it was beautiful! I can't wait to do some drawings from it, and I really hope I can go back soon (preferably not whilst I'm feeling ill).
