Today was freeeeeeeeezing, so I've snuggled up with a book (/avoiding the next essay).
The perfect end to the day.

Librarying into the small hours.
This evening we were last gals standing at 2:15, trying to finish this essay. And I did it!

This is where the magic happens. This lunchtime Mil, Al and I sat down and planned our extravaganza to raise money for Jack and Fred's row. All very exciting, if you feel like sponsoring them or just having a look at what they're up to, check out their page at http://www.atlanticcastaways.com/

Not a bad place to spent all afternoon. I had a lovely lunch with Mil before settling down to some serious reading.

Tirrrrred.
We went to reeling for a little bit this evening which was fun, but this is really where I belong.

Despite (or maybe because of) the rain, Edinburgh is looking really rather beautiful at the moment.
And today's been not so bad either. I has a wonderful lunch with Al, and a fab tutorial in the National Gallery.

Sunday 8 November 2015
This morning Phoebe and I went to the Remembrance service in the Playfair Library in Old College which was beautiful, and then watched Bea and co in the OTC parade at 11.

Happy birthday Sis!
This afternoon I saw my friend Georgie who I haven't seen in years. We went for tea and it was so so lovely to catch up.
This evening Mil and I went over the Al's for super which was crackin', let's do it again sometime.
(N.B. Ali was appalled that Ameel didn't know how to clean a loo so she gave us a lesson.)

Slow start today. But seeing this guy singing his heart out to Dizzle Rascal's 'Bonkers' with his impeccable bongo accompaniment really brightened my day.

After a lovely lunch catching up with Liv this afternoon, I took myself over to the National Portrait Gallery of Scotland to see the BP Portrait Awards Exhibition which I had yet to see. And it was fantastic, there's some really stunning pieces. I've seen the portrait that won 1st prize before though and I've spent all day trying to remember where...

Dais and I have had a fantastic day. We spent this afternoon in the National Museum of Scotland, which is hours of fun if you get involved in all of the interactive stuff. And on the way back we went to Shakaway and had the scrummiest milkshakes, I went Kinder Bueno obviously.

Well today may not have gone exactly to plan, but at least I made it back to Edinburgh.
Thanks to the insane amount of fog down south we were sat on the tarmac at Gatwick airport for a solid 4 hours before finally taking off.
After getting back late last night, a horribly early start this morning and a less than easy journey, it's safe to say I'll sleep well tonight.

Bye Bordeaux, it's been fun!
We spent today driving back to England, I'm going to miss the sunshine, I have a feeling that it's not going to be quite as nice back in Britain.
The best part of today was when we stopped to get chocolate eclairs before we got on the ferry; one last taste of France, yum.

It's basically November and it's still so warm!
Lots more wandering today. This morning Daddy, Thea and I went around the Musee d'Aquitaine which was interesting, I liked the big Roman mosaic they had.
This arvo we walked over to les Jardins Public which were stunning! Everything was covered in fantastic shades of reds, oranges and yellows; in some cases, like the ivy on the walls,
literally dripping with them.
And this evening I had possibly the best meal I've ever had ever. We went to Mama Shelter, the quirky hotel and everything from the decor to the food was fantastic!

SO much travelling today, and it's been great; we've seen so much!
First stop was Bilbao, and we went to the Guggenheim which was fantastic, the building is stunning! They had some great exhibitions on, my favourites were the Alex Katz 'This is Now', and the Richard Serra 'The Matter of Time' ones.
Then we drove up to Biarritz, picked up Mummy and Thea, then had a coffee in Bayonne, before finally reaching Bordeaux in time for supper.
Also really appreciating the T shirt weather.

I'm in Spain! This afternoon I escaped the rain and flew out to Santander.
This evening Daddy and I went out for tapas which was deLIcious, I'm still dreaming about the cheese plate. We did struggle a bit with the Spanish though, especially Daddy.

I've been attempting this essay all day, but I keep getting so distracted because this topic is just so vast and so interesting. It's about our sense of self, and how we think others perceive us, and there are literally a million different arguments which all kind of make sense. So fascinating but SO confusing. Ah, the joys of Sociology.

Look who I ran into today on my walk into uni! Such a lovely surprise to see this munchkin.
Today's been a great day, and productive too. Essay in, tea with a friend and this evening we went to an eye opening talk about careers in the arts in Playfair Library in Old College (which is beautiful!).

Brunch time with the gang!
It's been so so wonderful to see them all, AND to see Dance! I can't believe it's been so long, but it's so good to have you back.

Friday 23 October 2015
Happy birthday Benedict! I hope you had a marvellous day, and as wonderful evening as I did!
Mil, Al, Marcus and I got the train all the way down from Edinburgh to celebrate Ben's 21st with him in Oxford. And we had such a fantastic time! It was so lovely to see the gang again, I wish I saw them more often. We had a delicious dinner at the Cherwell Boathouse, followed by drinks at Freud.

Another scrumptious lunch with Mil at Lovecrumbs this afternoon. Today we went for a white chocolate and peanut butter tart, and a chocolate, hazelnut and cinnamon cake, and we sat in the window and soaked up the glorious Scottish rays (even though it was blowing an absolute gale outside).

This evening Daisy, Will and I went to the Cumberland for a drink which was so lovely and relaxed. A great way to end a busy day.
