Saturday 7 November 2015

Happy birthday Sis!
This afternoon I saw my friend Georgie who I haven't seen in years. We went for tea and it was so so lovely to catch up.
This evening Mil and I went over the Al's for super which was crackin', let's do it again sometime.
(N.B. Ali was appalled that Ameel didn't know how to clean a loo so she gave us a lesson.)

Friday 6 November 2015

Slow start today. But seeing this guy singing his heart out to Dizzle Rascal's 'Bonkers' with his impeccable bongo accompaniment really brightened my day.

Wednesday 4 November 2015

After a lovely lunch catching up with Liv this afternoon, I took myself over to the National Portrait Gallery of Scotland to see the BP Portrait Awards Exhibition which I had yet to see. And it was fantastic, there's some really stunning pieces. I've seen the portrait that won 1st prize before though and I've spent all day trying to remember where...

Tuesday 3 November 2015

Dais and I have had a fantastic day. We spent this afternoon in the National Museum of Scotland, which is hours of fun if you get involved in all of the interactive stuff. And on the way back we went to Shakaway and had the scrummiest milkshakes, I went Kinder Bueno obviously.

Monday 2 November 2015

Well today may not have gone exactly to plan, but at least I made it back to Edinburgh.
Thanks to the insane amount of fog down south we were sat on the tarmac at Gatwick airport for a solid 4 hours before finally taking off.
After getting back late last night, a horribly early start this morning and a less than easy journey, it's safe to say I'll sleep well tonight.

Sunday 1 November 2015

Bye Bordeaux, it's been fun!
We spent today driving back to England, I'm going to miss the sunshine, I have a feeling that it's not going to be quite as nice back in Britain.
The best part of today was when we stopped to get chocolate eclairs before we got on the ferry; one last taste of France, yum.
